Confidence Building Story: Fathers Eyes

A teenager lived alone with his father, and the two of them had a very special relationship. The father believed in encouragement. Even though the son was always on the bench, his father was always in the stands cheering. He never missed a game.

This young man was the smallest of the class when he entered high school.

His father continued to encourage him but also made it very clear that he did not have to play football if he didn't want to.

But the young man loved football and decided to hang in there. He was determined to try his best at every practice, and perhaps he would get to play when he became a senior.

All through high school he never missed a practice or a game, but remained a bench warmer all four years. His faithful father was always in the stands, always with words of encouragement for him. When the young man went to college, he decided to try out for the football team as a "walk-on."

Everyone was sure he could never make the cut, but he did. The coach admitted that he kept him on the roster because he always puts his heart and soul to every practice, and at the same time, provided the other members with the spirit and hustle they badly needed. The news that he had survived the cut thrilled him so much that he rushed to the nearest phone and called his father.

His father shared his excitement and was sent season tickets for all the college games. This persistent young athlete never missed practice during his four years at college, but he never got to play in the game.

It was the end of his senior football season, and as he trotted onto the practice field shortly before the big play off game, the coach met him with a telegram. The young man read the telegram and he became deathly silent.

Swallowing hard, he mumbled to the coach, "My father died this morning. Is it all right if I miss practice today?"

The coach put his arm gently around his shoulder and said, "Take the rest of the week off, son. And don't even plan to come back to the game on Saturday." Saturday arrived, and the game was not going well.

In the third quarter, when the team was ten points behind, a silent young man quietly slipped into the empty locker room and put on his football gear. As he ran onto the sidelines, the coach and his players were astounded to see their faithful team-mate back so soon.

"Coach, please let me play. I have just got to play today," said the young man.

The coach pretended not to hear him. There was no way he wanted his worst player in this close playoff game. But the young man persisted, and finally feeling sorry for young man, the coach gave in. "All right," he said. "You can go in." Before long, the coach, the players and everyone in the stands could not believe their eyes. This little unknown, who had never played before, was doing everything right. The opposing team could not stop him. He ran, he passed, blocked and tackled like a star. His team began to triumph.

The score was soon tied. In the closing seconds of the game, this young man intercepted a pass and ran all the way for the winning touchdown. The fans broke loose. His team-mates hoisted him onto their shoulders. Such cheering you have never heard!

Finally, after the stands had emptied and the team had showered and left the locker room, the coach noticed that the young man was sitting quietly in the corner all alone. The coach came to him and said, "Young man, I can't believe it. You were fantastic! Tell me what got into you? How did you do it?"

Young man looked at the coach, with tears in his eyes, and said, "Well, you knew my dad died, but did you know that my dad was blind?" The young man swallowed hard and forced a smile, "Dad came to all my games, but today was the first time he could see me play, and I wanted to show him I could do it!"

Remember:

"Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try."

"Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all."

"Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow."

The Piano...

Wishing to encourage her young son's progress on the piano, a mother took her boy to a Paderewski concert. After they were seated, the mother spotted a friend in the audience and walked down the aisle to greet her. Seizing the opportunity to explore the wonders of the concert hall, the little boy rose and eventually explored his way through a door marked "NO ADMITTANCE.

When the houselights dimmed and the concert was about to begin, the mother returned to her seat and discovered that the child was missing. Suddenly, the curtains parted and spotlights focused on the impressive Steinway on stage. In horror, the mother saw her little boy sitting at the keyboard, innocently picking out "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star." At that moment, the great piano master made his entrance, quickly moved to the piano, and whispered in the boy's ear, "Don't quit. Keep playing."

Then leaning over, Paderewski reached down with his left hand and began filling in a bass part. Soon his right arm reached around to the other side of the child and he added a running obligatio. Together, the old master and the young novice transformed a frightening situation into a wonderfully creative experience. And the audience was mesmerized.

Whatever our situation in life and history--however outrageous, however desperate, whatever dry spell of the spirit, whatever dark night of the soul-- God is whispering deep within our beings, "Don't quit. Keep playing. You are not alone, Together we will transform the broken patterns into a masterwork of my creative art. Together, we will mesmerize the world with our song of peace.

"FOR WE WALK BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT." II Corinthians 4:7

STONE ...

Hello to all... It's been a while that I didn't post on my blog because I became busy with my studies and other responsibilities...
I hope all my friends are doing well...

Have a blessed day to all...
I think you know this story already but I just want to remind every one how important the presence of each and every one of us...
GOOD DAY TO ALL...

TWO FRIENDS WERE WALKING THROUGH THE DESERT.
DURING SOME POINT OF THE JOURNEY,
THEY HAD AN ARGUMENT;
AND ONE FRIEND SLAPPED THE OTHER ONE IN THE FACE

THE ONE WHO GOT SLAPPED WAS HURT,
BUT WITHOUT SAYING ANYTHING,
WROTE IN THE SAND ,

TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE .

THEY KEPT ON WALKING, UNTIL THEY FOUND AN OASIS,
WHERE THEY DECIDED TO TAKE A BATH

THE ONE WHO HAD BEEN SLAPPED GOT STUCK IN THE
MIRE AND STARTED DROWNING,BUT THE FRIEND SAVED HIM.

AFTER HE RECOVERED FROM THE NEAR DROWNING,
HE WROTE ON A STONE:

'TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE'

THE FRIEND WHO HAD SLAPPED AND SAVED HIS BEST FRIEND
ASKED HIM, 'AFTER I HURT YOU, YOU WROTE IN THE SAND AND NOW,
YOU WRITE ON A STONE, WHY?'

THE FRIEND REPLIED 'WHEN SOMEONE HURTS US
WE SHOULD WRITE IT DOWN IN SAND,
WHERE WINDS OF FORGIVENESS CAN ERASE IT AWAY.

BUT, WHEN SOMEONE DOES SOMETHING GOOD FOR US,
WE MUST ENGRAVE IT IN STONE WHERE NO WIND
CAN EVER ERASE IT'

LEARN TO WRITE YOUR HURTS IN THE SAND
AND TO CARVE YOUR BENEFITS IN STONE.

THEY SAY IT TAKES A MINUTE
TO FIND A SPECIAL PERSON,

AN HOUR TO APPRECIATE THEM,

A DAY TO LOVE THEM,

BUT THEN ,

AN ENTIRE LIFE TO FORGET THEM.

ANYWAY!!!...

Love comes in all shape and sizes
People are unreasonable, illogical and self-centered.
Love them anyway.

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.
Do good anyway.

If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.
Succeed anyway.

The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.

Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway.

The biggest person with the biggest ideas can be
shot down by the smallest person with the smallest mind.
Think big anyway.

What you spend years building may
be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway.

People really need help but may attack if you help them.
Help people anyway.

Give the world the best you have
and you might get kicked in the teeth.
Give the world the best you've got anyway.

It's really applicable to our daily life...
Anyway!!! hahahahaha :)
Have s good, blessed, and peaceful day to all and God bless!!!

What FAILURE means...?

Failure doesn't mean you are a failure...
It does mean you haven't succeeded yet.

Failure doesn't mean you have accomplished nothing...
It does mean you have learn something.

Failure doesn't mean you have been a fool...
It does mean you had a lot of faith.

Failure doesn't mean you have been disgraced...
It does mean you were willing to try.

Failure doesn't mean you don't have it...
It does mean you have to do something.

Failure doesn't mean you are inferior...
It does mean you are not perfect.

Failure doesn't mean you've wasted your life...
It does mean you have reason to start afresh.

Failure doesn't mean you should give up...
It does mean it will take a little longer.

Failure doesn't mean God has abandoned you...
It does mean God has a better idea.

I TOLD GOD...

Dear Friends,

I told GOD: Let all my friends be
healthy and happy forever…

GOD said:
But for 4 days only….!
I said: Yes, let them be
a Spring Day, Summer Day,
Autumn Day, and Winter Day.

GOD said: 3 days.
I said: Yes,
Yesterday,
Today and Tomorrow.

GOD said: No, 2 days!
I said: Yes,
a Bright Day (Daytime)
and Dark Day (Night-time).

GOD said: No, just 1 day!
I said: Yes!
GOD asked: Which day?

I said: Every Day in the living years of all my friends!
GOD laughed, and said:
All your friends will be healthy and happy Every Day!

MISSION OF MAN...

People of God, look up and say:
"Why am I here? What's my job? What's my goal?
You are from God, not only clay;
You are a person with body and soul.

If pride you'd have, God you'd forget,
when you do strive to be great, aim too high.
Greatness will fade, you'll soon regret,
sooner or later you're going to cry.

You may be blind, begging all day.
Mission each one has a job to be done.
You are a man, get up and pray.
Do you not know, you're part of God's plan?

Famine and war, sickness and death,
suffer we all, every person on earth.
Keep this in mind, Christ is with us!
He is the Healer, the Victor, the Lord.

You are never forsaken
like the sparrows all over the sky.
You may be badly bedridden,
yet trust and you'll never die.

Lessons Of Love..

A 91-year-old woman died after living a very long dignified life. When she met God, she asked Him something that had really bothered her for a very long time. "If Man was created in God's image, and if all men are created equal, why do people treat each other so badly?"

God replied that each person who enters our life has a unique lesson to teach us. It is only through these lessons that we learn about life, people and our relationships with God. This confused the woman, so God began to explain:

"When someone lies to you, it teaches you that things are not always what they seem. The truth is often far beneath the surface. Look beyond the masks people wear if you want to know what is in their hearts. Remove your own masks to let people know who you really are."

"When someone steals from you it teaches you that nothing is forever. Always appreciate what you have. You never know when you might lose it. Never take your friends or family for granted, because today and sometimes only this very moment is the only guarantee you may have."

"When someone inflicts injury upon you, it teaches you that the human state is a very fragile one. Protect and take care of your body as best as you can, it's the one thing that you are sure to have forever."

"When someone mocks you, it teaches you that no two people are alike. When you encounter people who are different from you, do not judge them by how they look or act, instead base it on the contents of what is in their hearts."

"When someone breaks your heart, it teaches you that loving someone does not always mean that the person will love you back. But don't turn your back on love, because when you find the right person, the joy that one person brings you will make up for all of your past hurts. Times a thousand fold."

"When someone holds a grudge against you, it teaches you that everyone makes mistakes. When you are wronged, the most virtuous thing you can do is forgive the offender without pretense. Forgiving those who have hurt us is often the most difficult and painful of life's experiences, but it is also the most courageous thing a person can do."

"When a loved one is unfaithful to you, it teaches you that resisting temptation is Man's greatest challenge. Be vigilant in your resistance against all temptations. By doing so, you will be rewarded with an enduring sense of satisfaction far greater than the temporary pleasure by which you were tempted."

"When someone cheats you, it teaches you that greed is the root of all evil. Aspire to make your dreams come true, no matter how lofty they may be. Do not feel guilty about your success, but never let an obsession with achieving your goals lead you to engage in malevolent activities."

"When someone ridicules you, it teaches you that nobody is perfect. Accept people for their merits and be tolerant of their flaws. Do not ever reject someone for imperfections over which they have no control."

Upon hearing the Lord's wisdom, the old woman became concerned that there are no lessons to be learned from man's good deeds. God replied that Man's capacity to love is the greatest gift He has. At the root of kindness and love, and each act of love also teaches us a lesson.

The woman's curiosity deepened. God, once again began to explain:

"When someone loves us, it teaches us love, kindness, charity, honesty, humility, forgiveness, acceptance, and all of these can counteract all the evil in the world. For every good deed, there is one evil deed. Man alone has the power to control the balance between good and evil, but because the lessons of love are not taught often enough, the power is too often abused."

"When you enter someone's life, whether by plan, chance or coincidence, consider what your lesson will be. Will you teach love or a harsh lesson of reality? When you die, will your life have resulted in more loving or more hurting? More comfort or more pain? More joy or more sadness? Each one of us has the power over the balance of the love in the world. Use it wisely!"

Don't miss an opportunity to nudge the world's scale in the right direction!

Sharing Freely Our Knowledge...

Often we think that we do not know enough to be able to teach others. We might even become hesitant to tell others what we know, out of fear that we won't have anything left to say when we are asked for more.

This mind-set makes us anxious, secretive, possessive, and self-conscious. But when we have the courage to share generously with others all that we know, whenever they ask for it, we soon discover that we know a lot more than we thought. It is only by giving generously from the well of our knowledge that we discover how deep that well is.

The Seven Archangels...

Today is the FEAST DAY of all ARCHANGELS...
HAPPY FEAST DAY TO ALL!!! God Bless...

ST. MICHAEL ("Who is like God?")

St. Michael is one of the principal angels and is called the prince of the Heavenly Hosts. His name was the war-cry of the good angels in the battle fought in heaven against the enemy and his followers. In the Bible, his name was mentioned four times.

On Daniel 10:13: Gabriel says to Daniel, when he asks God to permit the Jews to return to Jerusalem: "The Angel of the kingdom of the Persians resisted me . . . and, behold Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me . . . and none is my helper in all these things, but Michael your prince." Again on Daniel 12, the Angel speaking of the end of the world and the Antichrist says: "At that time shall Michael rise up, the great prince, who standeth for the children of thy people."

St. Michael is the patron of grocers, mariners, paratroopers, police, and sickness.

ST. GABRIEL (God is my strength; God is mighty; strong man of God)

St. Gabriel is also one of the three archangels mentioned by name in the Bible. On Daniel 8:16-26; 9:21, St. Gabriel appeared to prophet Daniel to explain the prophet’s visions relating to the messiah. On Luke 1:11-20, he also appeared to St. Zachary in the temple to announce the coming of St. John the Baptist, the latter’s son, and to strike St. Zachary mute for his disbelief.. Luke 1:25-38 mentions the appearance of the Archangel to the Blessed Virgin Mary to let her know that she had been favored by God the bear Christ Jesus.

St. Gabriel's representations are lily, shield, spear, and trumpet. He is the patron saint of broadcasting, communications, public relations, telecommunications, diplomats and ambassadors, messengers, secular clergy, postal employees

ST. RAPHAEL (God has healed)

The name of Archangel Raphael only appears in the Book of Tobias. Here he first appears disguised in human form as the travelling companion of the younger Tobias, calling himself "Azarias the son of the great Ananias". The story of the adventurous journey during which the protective influence of the angel is shown in many ways including the binding "in the desert of upper Egypt" of the demon who had previously slain seven husbands of Sarah, daughter of Raguel, is picturesquely related in Tobit 5-11, to which the reader is referred. After the return and the healing of the blindness of the elder Tobias, Azarias makes himself known as "the angel Raphael, one of the seven, who stand before the Lord" (Tobit 12:15).

St. Raphael is also identified as the angel who moved the waters of the healing sheep pool. He is also the patron of the blind, of happy meetings, of nurses, of physicians and of travelers.

ST. URIEL ("Fire of God," "Flame of God," "Light of GoD)

The Book of Enoch, mentions St. Uriel in many of the component books. In Chapter 19 which is part of "The Book of the Watchers" (2nd century BC) only four Angels are mentioned by name these are Michael, Uriel, Raphael, and Gabriel. Enoch describes St. Uriel as "one of the holy angels, who is over the world...the leader of them all." In the same Book: "Uriel showed to me, whom the Lord of Glory hath set for over all the luminaries of the Heaven...the sun, moon, and stars, all the ministering creatures which make their revolution in all chariots of the Heaven."

St. Uriel is the patron of lawyers, seeking justice, prophecy.

ST. SEALTIEL (Worship and Contemplation)

St. Sealtiel stands before God with incense in hand in unceasing adoration of the Most Holy Trinity. His Angelic purity transforms love and worship which mortals give to God. He is the supposed Archangel who stopped Abraham from killing his son Isaac as a sacrifice.

ST. JHUDIEL (Bearer of God's Mercy)

St. Jhudiel is one of the Holy Archangels and is said to be the bearer of God's mercy and love. His image is shown to be holding a flaming heart pressed on his chest representing the love of God.

St. Jhudiel is invoked by confessors, social workers.

ST. BARACHIEL (Blessings from God)

St. Barachiel is also one of the seven Archangels. He is sometimes depicted in the Eastern Orthodox Church as holding a white rose against his chest, or with rose petals scattered on his clothing. His responsibilities are as varied as the blessings for which he is named, but he is also the chief of the guardian angels and may be prayed to for all the benefits which the guardian angel is thought to confer if one is not praying to the guardian angel directly. In Catholicism, St. Barachiel is also depicted holding a bread basket.

"You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life."

Never consider the possibility of failure; as long as you persist, you will be successful.

A Love Letter From Aborted Baby

Dear Mommy,

I am in Heaven now... I so wanted to be your little girl. I don't quite understand what has happened. I was so excited when I began realizing my existence. I was in a dark, yet comfortable place. I saw I had fingers and toes. I was pretty far along in my developing, yet not near ready to leave my surroundings. I spent most of my time thinking or sleeping.

Even from my earliest days, I felt a special bonding between you and me.

Sometimes I heard you crying and I cried with you. Sometimes you would yell or scream, then cry. I heard Daddy yelling back. I was sad, and hoped you would be better soon. I wondered why you cried so much. One day you cried almost all of the day. I hurt for you. I couldn't imagine why you were so unhappy.

That same day, the most horrible thing happened. A very mean monster came into that warm, comfortable place I was in. I was so scared, I began screaming, but you never once tried to help me. Maybe you never heard me. The monster got closer and closer as I was screaming and screaming, "Mommy, Mommy, help me please; Mommy, help me."

Complete terror is all I felt. I screamed and screamed until I thought I couldn't anymore. Then the monster started ripping my arms off.
It hurt so bad; the pain I can never explain. It didn't stop.

Oh, how I begged it to stop. I screamed in horror as it ripped my leg off.

Though I was in such complete pain, I was dying. I knew I would never see your face or hear you say how much you love me. I wanted to make all your tears go away. I had so many plans to make you happy. Now I couldn't; all my dreams were shattered. Though I was in utter pain and horror, I felt the pain of my heart breaking, above all.

I wanted more than anything to be your daughter. No use now, for I was dying a painful death. I could only imagine the terrible things that they had done to you. I wanted to tell you that I love you before I was gone, but I didn't know the words you could understand.

And soon, I no longer had the breath to say them; I was dead. I felt myself rising. I was being carried by a huge angel into a big beautiful place. I was still crying, but the physical pain was gone. The angel took me away to a wonderful place...

Then I was happy. I asked the angel what was the thing was that killed me. He answered, "Abortion". I am sorry, for I know how it feels." I don't know what abortion is; I guess that's the name of the monster. I'm writing to say that I love you and to tell you how much I wanted to be your little girl. I tried very hard to live. I wanted to live. I had the will, but I couldn't; the monster was too powerful. It sucked my arms and legs off and finally got all of me.

It was impossible to live. I just wanted you to know I tried to stay with you. I didn't want to die. Also, Mommy, please watch out for that abortion monster. Mommy, I love you and I would hate for you to go through the kind of pain I did.

Please be careful.

Love,
Your Baby Girl

"I'm Your Angel"

No Mountains too high, for you to climb
All you have to do is have some climbing faith, oh yeah
No rivers too wide, for you to make it across
All you have to do is believe it when you pray

And then you will see, the morning will come
And everyday will be bright as the sun
All of your fears cast them on me
I just want you to see...

I'll be your cloud up in the sky
I'll be your shoulder when you cry
I'll hear your voices when you call me
I am your angel
And when all hope is gone, I'm here
No matter how far you are, I'm near
It makes no difference who you are
I am your angel
I'm your angel

I saw the teardrops, and I heard you cry
All you need is time, seek me and you shall find
You have everything and you're still lonely
It doesn't have to be this way, let me show you a better day

And then you will see, the morning will come
And all of your days will be bright as the sun
So all of your fears, just cast them on me
How can I make you see...

I'll be your cloud up in the sky
I'll be your shoulder when you cry
I'll hear your voices when you call me
I am your angel
And when all hope is gone, I'm here
No matter how far you are, I'm near
It makes no difference who you are
I am your angel
I'm your angel

And when it's time to face the storm
I'll be right by your side
Grace will keep up safe and warm
And I know we will survive

And when it seems as if your end is drawing near
Don't you dare give up the fight
Just put your trust beyond the sky...

I'll be your cloud up in the sky
I'll be your shoulder when you cry
I'll hear your voices when you call me
I am your angel
And when all hope is gone, I'm here
No matter how far you are, I'm near
It makes no difference who you are
I am your angel
I'm your angel

I'll be your cloud up in the sky
I'll be your shoulder when you cry
I'll hear your voices when you call me
I am your angel
And when all hope is gone, I'm here
No matter how far you are, I'm near
It makes no difference who you are
I am your angel
I'm your angel

PROBLEMS!!!

Let us talk about something we all have: PROBLEMS.

Problems have solutions; that is precisely the reason why they are called 'problems'. The moment a problem ceases to have a solution, that problem is no longer a problem. It is already a mystery.

Do you have problem? Believe me, your problems have a solutions. There is no problem that does not have a solution including your problem. Because corresponding solutions exist, all problem can be solved and again, including your.

Problem arise because of a conflict in relationship with your own self, or with others or with anything in creation or with God. Problem always involved and affect relationship with anyone and with anything.

You cannot solve problem all by yourself. To begin with, you need God. Unfortunately, some realize this need at the end, not at the beginning.

CONSULT! The heart of the compassionate and the determination of the strong inspire.

OPEN UP! The providence of God and the childlike trust of a man are prerequisites.

PRAY!!!

You may be able to lessen your problem in life and increase solutions to the ones you already have if you relate and not isolate. Hide not from the world, hide not from others, and most especially, hide not from GOD.

When solving a problem, begin with what you have, never with what you do not have.
Be grateful always and make the best and the most of what you have, wven if what you have seems to be so little.

Finally, always remember that no problem is greater than GOD.
GOD is bigger than anything and anyone.
Bigger than problems put together.

St. Paul writes,"If God is for us who can be against us? If He did not spare us His own Son but has given Him to us, what else will He not give as besides? We are more than conquerors because of Him who has loved us (Romans 8:31-32,37)."

We all have problems. But we do all have GOD who cares and is involved with us.

COMING, GOING, FREEING...

Jesus gathers in order to scatter.
He welcomes so that He may send.
He choose so that He may let go.

Jesus is not a matinee idol;
He is a Master who gathers,
forms and sends disciples on a mission.
He is not an employer;
He is a leader of a crusade for the Kingdom of God.
He is not a dictator;
He is the Lord who came not to be served but serve
and to give His life for the ransom of many.

A BEAUTIFUL PRAYER

I asked God to take away my habit.
God said, No.
It is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up.

I asked God to make my handicapped child whole.
God said, No.
His spirit is whole, his body is only temporary

I asked God to grant me patience.
God said, No.
Patience is a byproduct of tribulations;
it isn't granted, it is learned.

I asked God to give me happiness.
God said, No.
I give you blessings; Happiness is up to you.

I asked God to spare me pain.
God said, No.
Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares
and brings you closer to me.

I asked God to make my spirit grow.
God said, No.
You must grow on your own! ,
but I will prune you to make you fruitful.

I asked God for all things that I might enjoy life.
God said, No.
I will give you life, so that you may enjoy all things.

I ask God to help me LOVE others, as much as He loves me.
God said...Ahhhh, finally you have the idea.

May God Bless You,...

God's Email...

One day God was looking down at earth and saw all of the rascally behavior that was going on. So He called one of His angels and sent the angel to earth for a time.

When he returned, he told God, 'Yes, it is bad on Earth; 95% are misbehaving and only 5% are not.'

God thought for a moment and said, 'Maybe I had better send down a second angel to get another opinion.'

So God called another angel and sent him to earth for a time, too.

When the angel returned he went to God and said, 'Yes, it's true. The earth is in decline; 95% are misbehaving, but 5% are being good.'

God was not pleased. So He decided to email the 5% who were good because He wanted to encourage them, give them a little something to help them keep going

Do you know what the email said?

No?

Okay, just wondering. I didn't get one either........

What is it like to you?

Mortal: What is a million years like to you?

God: Like one second.

Mortal: What is a million dollars like to you?

God: Like one penny.

Mortal: Can I have a penny?

God: Just a second.
